Molokai is one of the most beautiful and spiritual places we’ve ever visited. It has the highest sea cliffs in the world, lush tropical vegetation, a fascinating history, and a population of beautiful souls. There is nothing touristy about Molokai. It is authentic, genuine and unpretentious. It’s what we imagined Hawaii to be before it became one of the world’s premiere tourists destinations.
Some of the highlights or our journey included a visit to a plumeria plantation, a kayak trip, a tour of the Hawala Valley, and a mule ride from the top the spectacular sea cliffs down a 3 plus mile trail to the Kalaupapa Penninsula at the bottom. Sandi was extremely anxious about riding a mule, but the breathtaking views alleviated all of her fears. Check out the video here! Special thanks to the Molokai Visitor’s Association for hosting us on this incredible trip! Molokai will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

I’m a little biased, but I agree that Molokai’s beauty is breathtaking! It’s one of my favorite places in the world. I’m so glad you saw/felt it as well. And I think your photos captured the island’s essence.
