We are honored to be included among The Luxe Insider luxury travel magazine’s 2014 Best Travel Blogs! Here’s an excerpt from the article.

PUBLISHED BY FRANCOIS LE HECHO

Luxury travel blogs are very numerous on the web, it can be sometimes difficult to find reliable and personal content from authors who really travel and visit what they are reviewing. We decided to highlight here our selection of best travel blogs in which we trust and that will allow you to discover plenty of stunning places.

This is our best travel blogs selection for 2014, for each of them you can read few words about their purpose and author(s). The list is completely “open”, it means we will may add new travel blogs throughout the year if we have a crush for them! As well, do not hesitate to recommend us a blog you are used to follow through our Contact page.

The Luxury Editor

The Luxury Editor has been borne out of the desire to build an online society for discerning travellers; those who seek out stylish places, indulgent experiences and have an affiliation with the new and the different. TLE and its contributors travel the world to find those hidden gems; undiscovered destinations, boutique hotels, hip bars and restaurants, adrenaline fuelled activities or the ultimate in chill out and relaxation. Their blog is very clean and you can retrieve more or less the same philosophy than The Luxe Insider in their way of reviewing hotels. We like it.

TLE managers are from United Kingdom (Scotland): Ross Fraser, who is more specialized in Asian countries and has a successful career in the travel marketing industry and works with best luxury travel market names since 10+ years, and Chrystal Webster, who has been the brains behind the online marketing strategies of a number of the UKs biggest travel brands and who focus on Europe for TLE.

Midlife Road Trip - Homepage

The Midlife Road Trip is an unscripted, organic, reality-based food, travel and adventure series focusing on the experiences of polar opposite travel experts Rick Griffin & Sandi McKenna. Rick is a southerner with a thirst for adventure while Sandi is a northerner who leans towards leisure. They provide two totally different perspectives on what to see, do and eat in each particular destination along their journey. What we especially like on their blog is the “jovial tone” of their articles and how it is contagious.

Rick Griffin is the founder and co-host of Midlife Road Trip, he started in 2004 to pursue his creative passions in travel, writing and videos. In 2012, he was listed as #1 on Reuters list of the Top 10 Travel Experts onTwitter. Sandi McKenna is the other co-host of that blog bringing an experience of 20+ years in Marketing and Public Relations, a love of connecting people everywhere and a high propensity to enjoy life. Both are from US.

Poshbrood - Homepage

Poshbrood is a hip and chic upscale travel website about luxury family-friendly hotels, resorts, villas, cottages and inns, mostly in US. It has been launched in October 2010 by a national travel writer and mom of three little girls, Elizabeth Thorp. Poshbrood is quickly becoming a leading travel site for parents in the U.S. and it’s easy to understand why: I never seen any luxury travel blog family-oriented, it’s a fantastic added value! Perception of things and the overall vision is slightly different and of course, touches directly the heart of any mom.

Elizabeth has published travel stories in Washingtonian MagazineHuffington PostCapitol File Magazine and Momlogic.com and had amassed a ginormous folder of fantastic family hotels, resorts and villas along the way. Some savvy girlfriends suggested corralling the family travel findings in one spot et voila! Poshbrood was born.

A Taste Of Travel

A Taste of Travel is THE blog of our selection for those loving finest destinations and good eating. Different Doors

Different Doors is about Charles & Revati’s experience travelling around the world. They want to find a way to make your travel better by sharing things they’ve learned, telling you about things you may not find in a guide book or even giving you tips on finding great deals. And this is clearly the strenght of that blog: you have plenty of tips in all their articles which make them unique and personal.

Authors are from Mumbai, India, and believe in travelling close to the ground, not signing up for travel tours, diving into research, finding rarely visited secrets, experimenting with food, learning a little of the local cuisine and travelling slow. Their trips are an attempt at combining three of their common passions: cooking, photography and the joy of discovery. Ready for checking out their last stays? Go!
