After visiting the amazing St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in Memphis, Tennessee, we decided to make a pilgrimage to Elvis Presley’s home, Graceland. After all, we were in the neighborhood.
Just like eating Rendezvous Ribs, seeing the Famous Marching Peabody Ducks, and partying on Beale Street, visiting Graceland is one of those absolute must do items on your Memphis bucket list.
Graceland has been beautifully maintained throughout the years and looks exactly like it was when Elvis lived there. As you stroll through the house and the impeccably manicured grounds, you can’t help but think about what it must have been like in it’s heyday.
In honor of Elvis’ 80th birthday, we put together this little slideshow from our visit to Graceland and Sun Studio where we saw the cast of “Million Dollar Quarter” the session where the famous picture of Elvis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis was taken.
