We got to interview one of our favorite celebrities, Danica Patrick! Danica Patrick is the most successful woman in the history of American open-wheel racing. Danica is one of the most searched athletes on all of Google. She has hosted the Country Music Awards, been on the cover of Sports Illustrated, been featured in numerous iconic Super Bowl commercials for GoDaddy.com and is currently a celebrity spokesperson for Can-Am Spyder (Which Can-Am is providing Rick for his Midlife-Crisis-Mobile). Her love of food and travel make her the ideal celebrity to talk about road trips!
Since Danica is on the road for about 40 weeks of the year, we naturally asked her about travel. We learned that she lived in London as a teenager and that New Zealand and South Africa have been a couple favorite her vacation destinations. She really wants to visit Italy because of its history, culture, food and wine. Her favorite road trip in the United States is the Pacific Coast Highway.
Danica is also a foodie who loves to cook. We’re hoping that she’ll one day have time to publish her own cookbook.
As a driver, her goal is not to become the best female driver, but to become the best driver, period. She talks about some of her best career moments including winning the pole position at the Daytona 500.
We also learned why Danica has such great hair and why she loves the Can-Am Spyder and that Hollywood has Danica on speed-dial as she drives the Spyder as a Paparazzi Escape Vehicle to rescue celebrities. Here’s a video of her rescuing Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler.
