We admit that we feel more than a little blessed to have careers that allow us to travel for a living. Ever since Midlife Road Trip first began, each year has been filled with more exciting destinations and bucket list adventures than the year before. This last year has been no exception. For that trend to continue however, we may require the services of a magic genie as the travel bar is set high for the new year!
So any genies wishing to apply for a job as our travel concierge, here’s a quick recap of our incredible year – just to give you an idea of what you’re going to have to beat. Are you up to it?

New Orleans for the first college football playoff game and New York City for an event announcing the latest innovations of Carnival’s newest fun ship, the Vista, set to launch this spring!

The Galapagos Islands for a Bucket List adventure of a lifetime with International Expeditions!

MAY

Spain, Gibraltar, and Portugal on the inaugural voyage of the Viking Star and Miami Beach for the Life at 50+ Conference for AARP Member Advantages.
JUNE

Orlando, Florida to shoot a Generations video for Walt Disney World, the Sandals resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and our first Disney cruise aboard the Disney Dream!
JULY
AUGUST

A week in Paris, France for Expedia followed up with a Viking River cruise through the bordeaux wine region!
SEPTEMBER

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to test drive the new Scion iM and Scion iA, Tuscaloosa, Alabama to tailgate at a big time college football game, and the Sandpearl Resort in Clearwater Beach Florida!
OCTOBER

A Viking River cruise down the Douro River in Portugal, and a quick trip to Holiday Inn Portland by the Bay in Portland, Maine for some lobstah and chowdah!
NOVEMBER

Back to Houston, Texas for a tailgating experience at a Houston Texans NFL game for Texas Tourism!
DECEMBER

A Mediterranean cruise on the Viking Star, and trips to Cleveland, Ohio for Certified Angus Beef, and Denver, Colorado for Marriott’s SpringHill Suites!
I was at the Sugar Bowl, too! The big deal this year is the epic three week road trip to Yellowstone. My other travel ambitions include England, Albania, NYC and (maybe) Cuba.
That’s awesome! New Orleans is always a lot of fun. Yellowstone is still on my Bucket List! Safe travels!!
