We stopped there on the way to New Orleans this spring and o didn’t think it was good at all.
Same here, John. I’m an Alabama native and I’ve had Dreamland quite a few times and just never understood what all the fuss was about. There are a couple of places round Birmingham that have, in my opinion, better barbecue than Dreamland… Hope I don’t get shot for saying that!
Thanks Jim! We love BBQ so please let us know where your favorite BBQ joints are. We’d love to check them out next time we’re in Alabama. We also thoroughly enjoyed Archibald’s in Tuscaloosa. We featured Dreamland because that seems to be the place to go on game day. Rendezvous in Memphis is awesome, especially if you love dry rub ribs.
Y’all should check out Big Bob Gibson’s in Decatur, Alabama! They have own awards all over the United States and have the best sauces ever!
I’ve heard of Big Bob Gibsons – will definitely have to check it out! Thanks Erica!
Dreamland aint what it used to be…
