    Resurrecting the Undead, the streets of downtown Lakeland, Florida will fill with zombies and zombie hunters Oct. 12 – World Zombie Day. About 15,000 people are expected to don their scariest, most gruesome zombie garb for The Shallow Grave ZombieFest, which runs 3-10 p.m. and includes a big and bad lineup of music, food, games and all-around creepy fun. Participants are encouraged to pick a side – zombie or zombie hunter – and dress the part. Professional makeup artists and costume designers will be available to perform on-site zombification, too. It was a great meal and I tasted just about everything on the menu from meatballs to mussels. One of my favorite dishes was the Shrimp Fra Diablo. Packed with flavor and a little kick, the Shrimp Fra Diablo was a personal favorite so I asked, and they gave me the recipe to share with you.     Ingredients: – 1.5 HAAS Avocados, shelled, pitted and diced – Juice of 1/2 of a lime – 1 tsp fresh chopped cilantro – 1 tbls of fine minced red onion – 1/4 tsp of diced fresh jalapeno – 1 tbls of diced tomato Combine all ingredients in mortar and pestle or small mixing bowl, thoroughly mashing but leaving some chunks.
