Kale and Strawberry Salad from @FSMaui #Recipe #PictureMaui

When we travel our souvenirs are our memories. And recipes. We collect recipes. We like to bring back some of the flavor of places we have been to recreate the experience long after we are home. On a recent trip to Maui with the Expedia Viewfinders, we had the pleasure to lunch at Ferraro’s at the Four Seasons, Wailea’s only beachside open-air restaurant.  A spectacular view, gentle trade winds, bright […]

  • Romantic Destination: Hawaii Island

    Romantic Destination: Hawaii Island

Rick and I have an amazing partnership. We have been business partners for many years and have over 50 years of marriage between us, to other people! There is in fact, a Mrs. Griffin and a Mr. McKenna. Our spouses, Denise and Ralph, are the often-unsung heroes of our business partnership, keeping the home fires burning as Rick and I jet around the world writing about incredible places.

Excited About Expedia’s Partnership with St. Jude

Did you know that treatments at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital have pushed the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since it opened in 1962? When I was a kid, my cousin, Terri, died of a […]

When I was a kid I time traveled with Mr. Peabody and Sherman #MrPeabody

When I was a kid we had three television channels, children were the remote control and Saturday mornings were dedicated to cartoons. One of my favorites, and where I caught my first dose of wanderlust, was the adventures of Rocky the flying squirrel and Bullwinkle the moose, his dim-witted sidekick. It was during an episode of Rocky & Bullwinkle that I was first introduced to Mr. Peabody and Sherman. Peabody’s Improbable History took me around the world and introduced me to the likes Alexander Graham Bell, Shakespeare and Napoleon. I was mesmerized by the WABAC and dreamed of traveling to far off places and meeting fascinating characters.
