Just because you’re on the road, you don’t have to “rough it.”
The first thing you notice about a stay at the Ritz Carlton is the attention to detail and service. Every staff member is truly happy to see you and genuinely eager to please you. While customer service is a dying art, I can assure you it’s alive and thriving at the Ritz Carlton.
A recent MidLife Road Trip to Phoenix found the Ritz Carlton Camelback location the perfect marriage of business & pleasure. Located in the heart of everything, it’s surrounded by great shopping, nightlife and dining. What I appreciated most though was a welcoming, comfortable place with gracious surrounding after a long day of non stop activity. Renowned for their “sleep experience” the plush bedding does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. Crisp, clean, fluffy and inviting, the bed at the Ritz Carlton was literally a cloud of comfort that engulfed me after a long and arduous day.
The amenities which are standard at the Ritz are top shelf. Water, water everywhere! I drink a lot of water and the Ritz Carlton saw to it that I was never without. From the moment I arrived I was greeted with a “Mrs. McKenna can I get you a cold bottle of water?” After a five hour flight that was music to my ears! Our room was always well stocked with the Ritz signature bottled water.
The Broadway Show “Mary Poppins” was also in town the weekend we were in Phoenix. To our absolute delight, the Ritz Carlton Phoenix hosted a noon tea with the cast of the show. They too did not disappoint. The cast that included Caroline Sheen, “Mary Poppins”, Laird Mackintosh, “George Banks”, and Blythe Wilson “Winifred Banks” mingled with the teetotalers who dined on chocolate kites, umbrella teacakes and fruit tarts. The “Tea Sommelier” Jeffrey Hattrick was attentive and absolutely entertaining, joining the cast for a flawless rendition of supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! The tea at the Ritz Carlton is NOT to be missed!
With time racing by and the world changing by he nano second, it’s nice to see that certain age old traditions, like the unsurpassed service of the Ritz Carlton remain intact.
