While we came to the city by the bay in search of the elusive San Francisco treat, “Rice or Roni” we found so much more! We stayed  at  the Five Star Four Seasons San Francisco is located in the Yerba Buena cultural district in downtown San Francisco, two blocks from Union Square, the Financial District, the Moscone Convention Center and the Museum of Modern Art. A welcome sight after a long drive of the coast. Sometimes our journey uncovers something really special.   Luxury and comfort aside, this hotels beauty goes beyond skin deep and has a big & caring heart.

The Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco had a wonderful “voluntourism” program that offered guests the opportunity to give back to the San Francisco community this summer.  Guests who booked the Bed and Breakfast package  were able to  help pack care packages for women and children seeking refuge at the St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco’s Riley Center, a nonprofit community organization dedicated to providing safe and confidential services for women in abusive relationships.

The Riley Center is an important organization that does so much for families in our community, and it is near and dear to the hearts of our staff here at Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco,” said Doug Housley, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco. “We want to offer our guests a rewarding opportunity to support a local organization that is meaningful to us, while enjoying San Francisco.”

A Care Package Kit was provided to guests to assemble a bag for women and children at the Riley Center. The Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco provided inclusions for the kits including toothbrushes, toothpaste and toiletries. Guests also received a map of locations to purchase their own Care Package inclusions should they choose. For a personal touch, each guest can include an inspirational note or personalized bookmark. Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco delivers assembled bags to the Riley Center on a regular basis.

We took in the sights during our brief stay in the City by the Bay and our friend Vicky Akins was able to check walking across the Golden Gate Bridge off her Bucket List.
