We met some incredible people and picked up some great tailgating tips in our recent visit to Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
The 4th stop on our Rand McNally with USA TODAY Best of the Road Rally took us to Enterprise, Alabama which is called The City of Progress. They are a thriving community founded on the principle that with the right mix of people, adversity can easily turn into diversity. They have a rich military heritage because of their close relationship and proximity to neighboring Fort Rucker, the Home of Army Aviation.

We headed to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to check out Dreamland BBQ – one of the most famous BBQ joints in the whole world!
Last fall we were in Tuscaloosa, Alabama taping segments for Midlife Road Trip. A few months months later, the town was rocked to its very core when it was pummeled by a powerful tornado. The photos below don’t even show the enormity of the destruction. Much of the town looked like the pictures I remember seeing of Hiroshima after a nuclear bomb.
