  • Going to the top of Sears Tower

Going to the top of Sears Tower

When I first put “Going to the top of the Sears Tower” on my bucket list, it was the tallest building in the world …and it was called the “Sears Tower.” Today, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai holds the distinction as the world’s tallest building and the Sears Tower is now the Willis Tower. Regardless of the name, going to the top of that big tall building in Chicago remained on my bucket list. I have been to Chicago several times over the […]

Bring Your Camera to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel

If you ever get to visit Nashville, Tennessee, you’re going to want to bring your camera to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Resort. The hotel was kind enough to provide us with an incredible suite that served as our base of operation while we were in town scouting the city for potential segments for Midlife Road Trip. • Overcoming Your Fear of Flying

    Overcoming Your Fear of Flying

I don’t like flying. I hate not being in control. I hate every bump and noise I can’t identify. I profile the other passengers. I know where my exits are. I pay close attention to the safety instructions even though I have heard them a hundred times. I monitor our route on line. I read the faces of the flight attendants making sure they are confident everything is going along as planned and nothing is out of the ordinary. I […]
